Whether you're building foundational skills or preparing for competition, Skyline's equestrian programs are designed to develop riders with polish, purpose, and a true understanding of the horse.
RIDING LESSONS
Private Lessons
$75 / hour
The most direct path to rapid, focused improvement. Private lessons offer one-on-one instruction with Carey, fully tailored to your goals, your horse, and your current level of development.
Available on your own horse or a Skyline school horse.
Semi-Private Lessons
$65 / hour per rider (up to 3 riders)
Learn alongside peers in a structured, instructor-led environment. Semi-private lessons offer the benefit of group energy while still receiving personalized feedback and attention.
Available on your own horse or a Skyline school horse.
Lesson Packages
All lesson students are enrolled in a structured package program.
- Minimum: 1 lesson per week
- Required: 4 lessons per month
Consistent, regular training is the foundation of real progress. Our package structure ensures that students are building skills progressively rather than sporadically.
Travel Lessons
$75 / hour + $0.65 / mile
Can’t come to us? Carey comes to you. Travel lessons bring Skyline’s standard of instruction directly to your farm, barn, or arena. This service is ideal for riders who have their own facility but want access to expert coaching without the travel burden on the horse.
Horsemanship & Ground Lessons
$45 / hour
Riding is only part of horsemanship. These ground-focused sessions cover handling, communication, groundwork, and the fundamentals of working with a horse safely and effectively skills that directly improve mounted performance.
Available with your own horse or a Skyline horse.

This multi-discipline approach gives every rider a well-rounded, versatile foundation whether your goal is the show pen, the trail, or simply becoming a more capable horseman.
Horse training
Horse training
$1,200
Horses are worked a minimum of 5 days a week and are fed 2x daily. Horses will be provided 12/8 grain and hay. If special feed is required owner must provide it on top of full training fee.
Owners will receive one video per week. Two photos one of each side of the horsd untacked, to evaluate body conditioning, and a weekly phone call to give an update on their horses progress.
BOARDING
Full Board
$550 / month
Skyline’s Full Board program provides comprehensive daily care for your horse in a managed, attentive environment.
Included:
- Private stall with daily care and cleaning
- Group turnout
- Quality hay & grain (12/8 feed program)
- Feeding twice daily
- Blanketing (seasonal)
- Fly care (seasonal)
- Holding for farrier and veterinary appointments
Feeding Notes:
- Feed is customized based on your horse’s age, body condition, and workload
- Specialty grain and supplements must be provided by the owner
- Owners supplying their own grain must provide a full month’s supply at a time
Half Board
$350 / month
A simplified care option for horses requiring pasture-based management.
Included:
- Group turnout
- Quality hay & grain
- Feeding twice daily

- Specialty grain and supplements must be provided by the owner
Boarding Policies
We maintain clear expectations to ensure a safe, well-managed environment for every horse in our care.
- Each boarder is provided tack space for up to 2 saddles, bridles, and one small tack trunk
- All horses must be established with a licensed veterinarian
- All horses must use the Skyline facility farrier (scheduled every 5 weeks), unless alternate arrangements are approved in advance by the facility owner
- Square bales are provided in stalls; round bales are provided during turnout
- Owners providing specialty grain must supply a full month’s worth at a time, in addition to the standard board rate
RIDER SAFETY & REQUIREMENTS
The safety of our riders and horses is non-negotiable. All lesson and program participants must meet the following requirements:
- Beginner & Therapeutic Riders: Weight limit of 215 lbs or under
- All Other Riders: Weight limit of 250 lbs or under
Skyline Farms reserves the right to decline services if weight limits are exceeded. This policy exists to protect the welfare of our horses and ensure every rider has a safe, appropriate experience.
All services require prior scheduling and approval. We do not offer open bookings or walk-in sessions.
